For better understanding the advantage of our services for tourist operators,it is useful to first understand what RSS or XML feed means. Not only speaking about the acronym RSS, that means ´really simple syndication´, it´s interesting to analyze how a medium tourist operator delivers its information and sales offers.

Now let´s read a description about feeds
With the Tourism RSS control panel it is possible to insert unlimited tourist offers, and for each one specify all the information useful for distribution
These offers can be updated and cancelled at any time, with a real time change.
The total amount of the offers from one operator is called a feed, that is at the disposal of everyone on line, by a public internet address (URL), by a dynamic page that shows all the offers and details. The feed is updated in real time by the server from the offers charged by the operator.
With Tourism RSS there are warranted two differents internet addresses :
1. that contains the RSS feed. (example : Hotel xxx RSS feed )
1. that contains the XML feed for data transfer to different platforms ( example : Hotel xxx XML feed )
These two addresses will be at public disposal for export/viewing/download, and will be usable by the operator to give an RSS service in his website, or as useful data feed for his partners for data exchange.
Here you can read in this page about RSS and XML
RSS format is a well known standard for the most used navigation software, such as Internet Explorer, Opera, Firefox, etc., these software can automatically read the information and show them as a flow, with the related links.
RSS format has become famous for news delivery. Tourism RSS has applied this technology to the tourism field for offer availability , and to improve their promotional delivery, through different systems, by data exchange.
The developers know how to integrate this standard into the local platform. Regarding this action, Tourism RSS can provide, as an optional service, support for data integration into the operators websites.
XML Standard is a language, that is used to compose data feeds, such as but not only an RSS feed ( the language is often used to produce feeds for data exchange, also in formats different from an RSS feed.).
RSS format is normally used to deliver a few fields per record, such as title, description, data etc.To simplify the data trasmission, Tourism RSS agree to use the same kind of most used fields to share the offers feed.
In detail, Tourism RSS feed contains for each language:
- Title- Operators- Category- Offer description- Photo- Valid period- booking procedure link
To give a better service and permit the delivery of feeds with all the necessary booking information to everyone, Tourism RSS warrants another address reserved for the XML feed that contains all the extended information not included in the RSS standard feed.In this configuration, the feed can be used for data exchange between different systems, or as a data flow to ensure updated information about operator offers, and to simplify data delivery to all the agencies and tour operators.
The data included into the XML feed (described in the related XML schema, distributed with the feed), is composed for each language of :
- Operator - Category – City- State – Offer title – Offer description – Photo – Persons – Price – Booking agreement – Manager – Valid period – Delivering date.
Here is an example of an XML feed ######(waiting for the address)
With this feed format it will be very easy to deliver tourist offers :
- from Tourism RSS and the partners network, - from your website- to marketing or commercial network with data integration- with on line catalogs and e-mailing services powered by the feed.
For the operators registred with the active promotion service, our partners network will promote the tourist offers giving to the customer information and on line booking form, to send orders to the operator, that will receive all the data useful to book the service, as per customer information, booking order and details.
